1 dead, 30 people rescued from flood water in Oman

Muscat: The Operations Center of the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority received this morning 20 reports about the detention of vehicles in water gatherings resulting from rainfall in the Governorate of Muscat, where 30 people were evacuated, all of whom are in good health.

The authority called on citizens and residents to follow safety guidelines during rain.

In a statement Royal Oman Police said: The detention of two expatriates, one of whom was suffering from shortness of breath inside their vehicle, in a water gathering in the Jibrouh area in the Wilayat of Muttrah, but he died shortly after being rescued due to his poor health

ROP also said- Three people, one of them an expatriate, were rescued after they were detained inside their vehicle in a water pool in the southern Ghubrah area, and they are in good health
