10 horses qualify for endurance race Dhofar Governorate

Salalah: The qualifying endurance and endurance competition for a distance of 40 km was concluded on the shore of Khor Al Dahariz, organized by the Oman Equestrian Federation in cooperation with the Dhofar Equestrian Committee, with the participation of 14 horses from the states of Dhofar Governorate.

This race comes within the federation’s schedule for this season 2022/2023 in order to qualify the largest number of horses and involve them in international races. The competition included one stage for a distance of 40 kilometers and was given the red color, the minimum speed was 12 km/h, the maximum speed was 16 km/h, and the maximum heart rate was 56 beats/minute. The age of the horse was five years.

Muhammad bin Salem Al-Maliki, Chairman of the Competition Arbitration Committee, stated that this competition is one of the important competitions for horses in order to qualify them to compete in international competitions. The time of arrival and entry of horses, the time of their examination, and the monitoring of other details of interest to the competition committee, including judges and veterinarians.
