National Exercise “Nation’s Readiness 2025” Kicks Off in Muscat

Muscat: The national exercise “Nation’s Readiness 2025” commenced today in the Governorate of Muscat. Organized by the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) in cooperation with relevant authorities, the exercise will continue for two days.

Colonel Zayed bin Hamad Al Junaibi, Head of the National Emergency Management Center, told Oman News Agency that the exercise aims to enhance the efficiency of response teams, strengthen coordination among entities involved in emergency management, and ensure effective measures to protect lives and public property at the national level.

He explained that the exercise includes simulations of several emergency scenarios, such as managing responses to extreme weather conditions, implementing and coordinating safety procedures, testing approved national emergency plans, and measuring the speed of response and decision-making under various circumstances.

Colonel Al Junaibi added that the exercise involves the various sectors of the NCEM and the Subcommittee for Emergency Management in Muscat Governorate, with the participation and support of military and security forces, as well as other relevant entities.

He emphasized that the exercise forms part of ongoing national efforts to strengthen the emergency management system in line with international best practices, ensuring the highest levels of safety and protection for the community and national infrastructure in the Sultanate of Oman.
