14 rescued after boat catches fire in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Coast Guard, led by the Dhofar Governorate Police, have expanded their search operations for one of the missing crew members who were exposed to a fire late last Thursday off the coast of the Wilayat of Dhalkut.

The crews of the Coast Guard Police were able to rescue the rest of the boat crew, which were 14 people of Asian nationality, all of whom are in good health, and coordination with the Environment Agency was also coordinated to avoid any environmental damage.

There was a report from a citizen about seeing a fire at sea, after which the Coast Guard police boats moved to the site, where it became clear that a fire broke out in a boat belonging to an Asian country, so those on board were rescued and taken to the shore.
