

Muscat: The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) succeeded in rescuing a number of people after they were detained in valleys in different regions of the Sultanate of Oman on Thursday.
In a statement CDAA said: Rescue teams from the Civil Defense and Ambulance Department in the North Batinah Governorate were able to rescue 3 citizens after their vehicle was impounded in a valley in the Wilayat of Shinas, and they are in good health. The authority also received another report about the impoundment of a vehicle with 5 people in it in the Wilayat of Saham, where they were taken out while they were in a good health.
Earlier today CDAA also said, Rescue teams in the North Al Batinah Governorate were able to rescue 6 people after their vehicle was trapped in pools of water in the wilayat of Al Khaboura, and they are in good health.
Rainfall of moderate to varying intensity and flow through the valleys in the northern governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, and the Authority calls on everyone to be careful and not to risk crossing the valleys, to stay away from low places, and to follow safety instructions in order to preserve everyone’s safety.
