Muscat: 15 Expatriates have been arrested for violating the Labour law, after the Ministry of Labour carried out an inspection campaign in the Wilayat of Seeb on Friday.
The Ministry of Labour said in a statement: “In order to follow up on the expatriate workforce and the extent of their compliance with the provisions of the Labor Law and in continuation to combating the phenomenon of random selling practiced by the expatriate workforce, the Ministry of Labor represented by the Directorate General of Labor Welfare (Joint Inspection Team) in cooperation with the Seeb Municipality carried out an inspection campaign.
In front of a mosque in the Wilayat of Seeb, 15 workers were arrested in violation of the provisions of the Labor Law, and legal measures are being taken against them.”
