In a statement MOH said online: Non communicable diseases are a growing burden both globally and in Oman. 15% of the population in Oman are thought to suffer from diabetes, and two thirds of the population are thought to have raised blood pressures. 30% of the population in Oman are obese and 35% are overweight.
