150 participants in the winter camp for scouts in the governorates of North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah and Musandam

Saham: The activities of the winter camp for the scout stage, organized by the Directorate General of Education in the Governorate of North Al Batinah, were launched at the permanent scout camp in the Wilayat of Saham, with the participation of scout teams from the governorates of Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah and Musandam, and it will continue until February 2.

Suleiman bin Khamis al-Bahrani, Commander-in-Chief of the Scout camp, explained that the number of participants in the camp is more than 150 participants from the scout stage from the four governorates, in addition to scout leaders and members of the main and sub-committees.

He added: The camp witnessed, at the opening ceremony, a number of scout activities, whose activities continue for a week to include sports competitions such as long jump, football, swimming, basketball, volleyball, and beach games, in addition to exploration and adventure trips, and the Hobby Badges Forum, which includes workshops, lectures, and exhibitions in Community service, environment, traffic and first aid.

The camp aims to develop the skills of scout leaders in managing and leading camp programs, unifying the practical practice of scout traditions, increasing the activation of community partnership, strengthening the relationship with scouts’ parents, as well as strengthening national identity, human values ​​and principles, and providing participants with innovation skills.
