Quick tests and mechanism are available in the Health Centers to deal with the patients with flue and Covid-19 suspected infections.

13 Health Centers around the governorates are collecting specimens from Covid-19 infections. Lab tests may give some indications about the virus which will be transferred to work on its genetic strains.

Due to the reported cases, the positive tests increased today to (1.7%)

Currently is the time for Seasonal Influenza and no increase is registered when compared to reports of previous years.

Sharp drop globally of Seasonal Influenza cases in 2020 due to complying with the precautionary measures

Most of the cases admitted to the hospitals are not vaccinated.

69 new confirmed cases were reported yesterday, one of which is linked to travel.

More than 106 countries have reported cases of Omicron and many countries reported local infection of the variant of the virus

Prevalence of omicron is much higher than other variants, and it also infects who were infected and recovered

Vaccines is mainly designed to curb deaths, so infections of vaccinated people is normal.

Compared to Alpha variant, Omicron is Midler, yet its fast prevalence is dangerous, so we expect an increase in the admitted cases which may exhaust the health sector.
