Barka: The Royal Camel Race Track in the Wilayat of Barka in the South Al Batinah Governorate today witnessed the start of the first leg of the annual race for civil camel racing for the 2023/2024 season, organized by the Omani Camel Racing Federation and lasting for three days. Today’s race witnessed the holding of 18 rounds for the Hajj category, including 12 rounds for the early bird and 6 rounds for the sitting ones, over a distance of two kilometres.
Nearly 450 camels from various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman participated in it, and the results were as follows: In the first half, it came in first place, “Al-Talila,” owned by Mansour bin Nasser Al-Lahifi, and in the second half, it came in first place, “Shamukh,” owned by Mansour bin Nasser Al-Lahifi, and in the third round, it came in first place, “Jallad,” owned by Suleiman bin Saif Al-Rashidi.
As for the fourth round, it came in first place. In first place is Amira, owned by Mansour bin Nasser Al-Lahifi. In the fifth round, “Shawaheen” came in first place, owned by Walid bin Sulaiman Al-Rashidi, and it came in first place in the sixth round, “Feeder”, owned by Saif bin Saeed Al-Wahaibi, and it took first place in the seventh round, “Kanara”, owned by Khalid bin Juma Al-Araimi, and it took first place in the second round. The eighth Tsahil owned by Muhammad bin Ghadeer Al-Jadaili. In the ninth round, it came in first place with “Mubdiq” for its owner, Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Jadaili, and in the tenth round, it came in first place with “Waqar” for Sami bin Al-Hamdi Al-Darai, while in the eleventh round, it came in first place with “Syouf” for its owner, Saud bin Salem Al-Manai. It won first place in the twelfth round, Al-Muhandis, for its owner, Shehab bin Hamad Al-Jahafi, while in the thirteenth round, it won first place, /Wawdah, for its owner, Abdullah bin Saeed Al-Gharbi.
In the fourteenth round, Shawaheen won first place, owned by Jumah bin Ali Al-Rubaie, and came in first place in the fifteenth round, Hamloul, owned by Salim bin Muhammad Al-Hakamani. In the sixteenth round, Sisiaya, owned by Abdullah bin Saeed Al-Gharbi, came in first place. As for the seventh round, In the eighteenth round, “Fried” won first place, owned by Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Wahaibi. In the eighteenth round, “Al-Wasmi” came first, owned by Hamid bin Mohammed Al-Wahaibi.
