18 Teams to Compete in Tour of Oman 2023

Muscat: The 12th edition of the Oman Tour 2023 cycling competitions will start next Saturday, which is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and the Omani Cycling Federation, with the participation of 18 teams representing the most prominent international teams from Europe, Asia, America and Australia, and it will last for 5 days, including 5 stages. Traveling between the terrain and landscapes of the Sultanate of Oman.

The circumnavigation path is about (830.3 kms), with the first stage reaching (147.4 kms). It will start on Saturday, February 11, in front of Rustaq Castle in the Al Batinah South Governorate, and the stage will conclude in the Muscat Governorate, in front of the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, while the second stage will begin on Sunday, February 12, from the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher, and the stage will conclude in the Wilayat of Quriyat, covering a distance of (174 kms). The third stage will take place on Monday, February 13, starting from the Al Khobar area in the Wilayat of Sumail, and will conclude in the Eastern Mountain in the Wilayat of Al Hamra, distance of (151.8 kms). The fourth stage will start on Tuesday 14th  from the Wilayat of Izki in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate to the Yiti Heights in the Muscat Governorate, for a distance of (204. 9kms). The final stage will take place on Wednesday, February 15, with a total distance of (152.9 kms) starting from Al-Fayhaa rest house in the Wilayat of Samail to the final point of the stage in Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar.

It is worth noting that since the first edition, the Tour has been able to achieve a wide public response in the Sultanate of Oman and the world and a place on the agenda of global interest in the sport of cycling, and the Tour was able to attract the most famous international riders, world champions and the most important international teams.
