2024 Budget: Allocated RO 900 mln for development projects


Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has allocated OMR 900 million for development projects in various sectors in its general budget for 2024.

The percentage allocation is distributed as follows: 9.6% for the commodity production sector, 13.5% for services, 32.7% for social segments, 33.9% for infrastructure, and 10.3% for other sectors. The estimated amount will be paid during the year as per the actual work in progress for the projects.

The budget has given priority to projects having social dimensions like education sector, health sector, transport sector, agriculture, fisheries and water resources sector, other sectors as such culture, sports & youth, housing and urban planning.
