22 expat investors gets Oman’s long-term residency card on the launch of the program

Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion launches the “Investor Residence” program, according to which foreign investors and retirees are granted the right to long stay in the Sultanate, provided that applications will begin to be received starting from October 3 through the Ministry’s investment services center electronically.

The launch of the program was accompanied by the delivery of an investor residency card to the first 22 investors of different nationalities around the world.

Charles Shaw, Founder & CEO of Bondoni, an investor from the United Kingdom, reviewed his experience as a foreign investor in the Sultanate, praising the launch of this program, which will attract more investors around the world.

His Excellency Abdulsalam bin Muhammad Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority, stressed that the launch of the “Investor Residence” program comes in the right step to create the appropriate environment for investors, expressing his hope that the program will witness the launch of more incentives and advantages during the coming period.

His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, said that the program focuses on qualitative investments that contribute to the growth of the domestic product, the localization of industries, the transfer of modern technologies and technology, and the strengthening of economic diversification sectors in the Sultanate.
