The Ministry of Energy and Minerals will hold a press conference to announce the launch of opportunities and incentives for investment in the green hydrogen sector, and the official launch of the Oman Hydrogen Company.  As well as to talk about the details of the royal directives for the date of the Sultanate of Oman achieving carbon neutrality in 2050, and the establishment of the Oman Center for Sustainability, and this comes in line with global transformations towards reducing carbon emissions.

The ministry has taken important steps towards accelerating the procedures for regulating the hydrogen sector, setting the legal frameworks and policies necessary for its growth, allocating appropriate sites for its production to enhance investment attraction, working to localize this technology and preparing the necessary studies for it.

The outputs of carbon management are also an important step that will reflect positively on the Sultanate of Oman, to achieve zero-carbon neutrality, which will contribute to diversifying sources of income, creating opportunities for sustainable economic and social growth while achieving a balance between sustainable development and limiting the repercussions of climate change, benefiting from clean technology to achieve sustainability and building Knowledge economy and diversification of energy sources.
