32 countries to participate in Muscat International Book Fair 2023

Muscat: With a participation of 32 countries, the Muscat International Book Fair in its 27th edition, will begin on February 22 and continue until March 4, 2023.

“The exhibition will be accompanied by a number of media programmes, including Khair Jalees, Al Fihrs and a daily cultural bulletin. A group of media professionals and influencers were invited to follow the exhibition programmes,” said His Excellency Mohammed bin Saeed Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, Chairman of the Media Committee of the Muscat International Book Fair in a press conference held today.

Ahmed bin Saud Al Rawahi, Director of the Muscat International Book Fair said: “826 publishing houses from 32 countries will participate in 533,063 titles and publications, 5900 of which are new publications, along with 204,411 non-Arabic and 260,614 Arabic books.”

The Vice-Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Book Fair said: ”There will be165 cultural events, 166 children’s activities in a total of 1194 pavilions.”
