34th GAIF conference kicks off in Oman

Muscat: The activities of the thirty-fourth regional conference of the General Arab Insurance Federation will begin tomorrow, Monday, under the slogan “For a more sustainable and comprehensive Arab insurance industry:

How can Arab companies engage in the artificial intelligence revolution,” at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center Under the patronage of His Highness Dr. Kamel bin Fahd Al Said, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.

The conference, which is organized by the Omani Insurance Association in cooperation with the General Arab Insurance Federation and is held every two years, is a periodic forum for representatives of insurance policy makers and Arab and international insurance and reinsurance companies and brokers.

Over three days, the conference discusses developments in the insurance industry, opportunities and challenges in Arab markets, issues related to risk management, innovation, technological developments, digital transformation, natural resources, customer experience, and insurance sector governance.\

The conference also reviews the markets’ experiences in this aspect. On the sidelines of the conference, meetings and consultative meetings will be held between insurance companies and reinsurers from various Arab and foreign countries to enhance cooperation, paving the way for joint business and commercial deals.
