    • 4.9 magnitude earthquake reported in Arabian Sea, 279 km away from Salalah

    Muscat: An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 was monitored in Arabian Sea on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, said the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC). 

    In a statement the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University said that an earthquake in the Arabian Sea was recorded at 04:38 pm MCT, at a depth of 10 KM. The earthquake was recorded 279 KM SE, away from Salalah.
