4th forum to develop, enhance on-the-job training in Ibra

Ibra: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Ibra branch in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, organized today the fourth forum to develop and enhance on-the-job training, with the participation of more than 20 institutions from the public and private sectors, and the participation of more than 100 participants from the stakeholders. The various sectors and the administrative and academic bodies of the university.

Dr. Fatima bint Nasser Al-Harithiya, Assistant Dean of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences for Student Affairs, said: The forum comes to achieve the university’s vision that leadership lies in technical and applied education and contribute to building a sustainable knowledge society, in addition to translating the message, which focuses on building innovative competitive capabilities by providing an environment Motivating and effective partnership with society and the business sector to promote excellence in education, scientific research and innovation.

She added that the forum, in its fourth edition, came to achieve a number of goals, the most important of which is enhancing the university’s institutional excellence by striving to achieve excellence in research, innovation and entrepreneurship, in addition to building a sustainable strategic partnership and achieving academic excellence, stressing that the goals of the forum achieve priority in the strategy through partnerships with Society and various business sectors, focusing on research and innovation, as well as governance, management, teaching and learning.

The forum included the presentation of a number of working papers and visual presentations focused on discussing training plans related to new majors at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, and discussing joint cooperation between the university and the various participating institutions in order to achieve the vision of “Oman 2040” by creating training opportunities for university students.
