6,338 pilgrims to perform Hajj this year from Oman


Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs represented by the Permanent Hajj Committee met on Wednesday to review the agreement on arrangements and plans for Hajj with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the season of this year 1443 AH.

The meeting was presided over by  His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Said Al-Maamari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

The Hajj Committee discussed preparation for the Hajj season in terms of the readiness of the electronic system for the pilgrims of the Sultanate of Oman, and the time line for the start of Hajj arrangements.

It is worth noting that the Sultanate of Oman’s share this year is 6,338 pilgrims, reducing the number by 45% due to the repercussions of the Covid-19 epidemic.
