    • 7.7 Magnitude earthquake hits Philippine Sea, 7417 km away from Muscat

    Muscat – An strong earthquake has been reported in the Philippine Sea on Saturday evening, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at the Sultan Qaboos University.

    A statement issued online by the EMC said, ‘An strong earthquake hits Philippine Sea with a 7.7 magnitude, at a depth of 73km, at 06.37pm. The earthquake was recorded 7416km away from Muscat.’
