73% of users satisfied with services, 45% not satisfied with prices of mobile internet in Oman: NCSI

Muscat: The results of the “Satisfaction of Users of ‘Fixed Telecommunication Services” survey, which was carried out by the National Center for Statistics and Information in cooperation with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, indicated that 70 percent of individuals in the Sultanate of Oman are satisfied with the fixed-line telecommunication services provided to them by the service provider, while 52 percent of them are not satisfied with the prices of fixed line internet services.

The statistics showed that 65.4 percent of the participants agreed that the quality of service provided by the service provider is always excellent, and that 84.5 percent of the respondents agreed that the branch offices of their service providers are located in appropriate places.

74.2 percent affirmed that their service provider plays an effective role in solving customer problems, and 86 percent agreed that their service provider’s is always ready to help.

As for the results of the “Satisfaction of Mobile Telecommunication Services Beneficiaries” survey, 73 percent of individuals in the Sultanate of Oman are satisfied with the mobile telecommunication services provided to them by the service provider, while 45 percent of them are not satisfied with the prices of mobile internet services in the country.

The results showed that 76 percent of the individuals participating in the survey advise dealing with their service provider, and that 50 percent and 90 percent of Omanis and expatriates, respectively, agree to one degree or another that the service quality in general is excellent.

The governorates of North Al Sharqiyah had the highest percentage of dissatisfaction with the prices of mobile internet services at 62 percent, followed by 50 percent in the governorates of Dhofar and Al Dhahirah.
