Oman Agrofood 2025 Opens with Broad International Participation

Algeria Named Guest of Honour at 7th Oman Agrofood Exhibition

Muscat: The seventh edition of the Oman Agrofood Exhibition was inaugurated today under the patronage of Sheikh Al Fadhl bin Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers. The event is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.

Held over three days at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, the exhibition serves as a key platform for fostering strategic commercial partnerships and stimulating local and international investment. It provides an integrated showcase of advanced technologies, innovative solutions, and modern equipment across the agriculture, fisheries, and food production sectors.

This year’s edition features the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria as the guest of honour, with participation from more than 20 Algerian companies operating across the agri-food and fisheries value chains. The event also hosts exhibitors from over 20 countries, including the Sultanate of Oman, alongside a wide range of international participants.

Eng. Yahya bin Khalfan Al Hadidi, Director of the Marketing Department at the Ministry, said that this edition is distinguished by broad international participation, presenting a diverse range of agricultural and food products, as well as advanced equipment that enhances value-added production.

He added that the exhibition contributes significantly to strengthening the Omani market by showcasing premium national products and familiarizing Omani producers and marketers with global advancements in food industries, agricultural technologies, aquaculture, and marine fisheries. He noted that the forum provides an important opportunity for Omani business leaders to engage with international companies and benefit from mutual commercial prospects.
