    • 8 unlicensed wells seized in Shinas and Sohar

    Muscat: Within three days, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources seized 8 unlicensed modern wells in North Al Batinah.

    In a statement the Ministry said: “The Water Control Team at the Directorate General of Agricultural Fisheries and Water Resources in North Al Batinah Governorate was able to seize 8 modern wells over a period of 3 days, in the wilayat of Shinas and Sohar without a prior license from them.

    The Ministry continues its inspection and oversight efforts with the aim of reducing the drilling of random and unlicensed wells.”
