Al Rustaq: Sanad Service Centres in South Al Batinah Governorate constitute a key pillar of economic and service activity, providing vital support to the governorate’s growing commercial and investment momentum.

The centres play an important role in facilitating government procedures, improving the business environment and enabling entrepreneurs and citizens to complete their transactions efficiently and swiftly, in line with the Sultanate’s digital transformation objectives.

The Department of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in South Al Batinah Governorate affirmed that Sanad Service Centres represent an effective link between government institutions and beneficiaries, contributing to the streamlining of services and enhancing service delivery mechanisms.

Tarik Nasser Al Harrasi, Director of the Department of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in South Al Batinah Governorate, said that a total of 85 Sanad Service Centres are currently operating across the various wilayats of the governorate. He noted that their balanced geographic distribution reflects the authorities’ commitment to ensuring access to services for the widest possible segment of beneficiaries.

He explained that the centres are distributed as follows: 39 in the Wilayat of Barka, 20 in the Wilayat of Rustaq, 17 in the Wilayat of Al Mussanah, 5 in the Wilayat of Nakha, 2 in the Wilayat of Al Awabi, and 2 in the Wilayat of Wadi Al Maawil.

Al Harrasi pointed out that Sanad Service Centres in South Al Batinah Governorate provide direct employment opportunities for 213 Omani citizens, underscoring their role in supporting national employment and human resource development. He added that the centres also contribute to stimulating the private sector and empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to sustain and expand their activities.

He affirmed that the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion is keen to expand the range of government services provided through Sanad Service Centres, while broadening their operational scope to better meet beneficiaries’ needs and enhance service efficiency and quality.

Al Harrasi noted that over the past 20 years since their establishment, Sanad Service Centres have witnessed notable development that has enabled them to keep pace with economic changes and support the business and investment environment.

He added that during the second Sanad Centres Forum held recently, the Ministry launched several initiatives aimed at developing the centres’ work environment, raising employee efficiency and strengthening partnerships with the private sector, with the goal of consolidating the centres’ role as integrated service platforms that support economic growth.

He stressed that the continuous development and sustainability of Sanad Service Centres align with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, which seeks to reinforce the position of South Al Batinah Governorate as an attractive investment destination and a hub for economic and commercial activity in the Sultanate of Oman.
