

Muscat: The Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies held a ceremony on the grounds of its headquarters at Bait Al Falaj today to mark the start of 11th National Defence Course.
Rear Admiral Ali Abdullah Al Sheidi, Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC), gave a speech in his capacity as chief guest, in which he said that the curriculum at the NDC lays emphasis on enhancing the philosophy of self-education, research and advanced preparation at all stages of training courses.
Rear Admiral Al Sheidi expressed the conviction that the participants would realize the lofty thinking of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, notably in utilizing their potential to contribute to sustainable development efforts in the country.
