A’Dakhiliyah Municipal Council Holds First Meeting of 2026

A’Dakhiliyah Council Considers Housing, Health, and Public Facility Proposals

Nizwa:  The Municipal Council of A’Dakhiliyah Governorate held its first meeting of 2026 today, during which it discussed a proposed annual development plan aimed at enhancing service standards across the governorate.

The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Hilal bin Said Al Hajri, Governor of A’Dakhiliyah.

During the session, the Council reviewed progress in implementing recommendations issued at its 10th meeting in 2025. It also listened to a briefing by the commander of the Royal Oman Police unit in the governorate, who presented proposals to improve traffic flow in the Village of Farq in the Wilayat of Nizwa.

The Council discussed proposals submitted by the Directorate General of Housing and Urban Planning in the governorate concerning the development of services and residential areas across the wilayats. It also studied a request to allocate a site for a public park in the Ain Waddah area of the Wilayat of Bahla.

In addition, the Council reviewed a request to allocate land for a health center in the Hail Ashoor area of the Wilayat of Al Hamra, as well as proposals to develop surrounding areas near the Sultan Qaboos Mosque, Ruwaigh A’Safil, and Al Khatim in Jabal Shams.

Regarding the Wilayat of Samayil, the Council examined a request to allocate an area for livestock pens in Seeh Haramil, along with a proposal to approve new residential plots in Al Awainah Plan (3).

As for the Wilayat of Bidbid, the Council discussed a request to reclaim land previously allocated for a health center in the Fanja area and studied a proposal to allocate a plot of land for a public park.
