A’Dakhiliyah Council Evaluates New Residential Sites, Urban Expansion Needs
Nizwa: The Municipal Council of A’Dakhiliyah Governorate today reviewed ways to enhance public safety and develop the waste management system across the governorate. The meeting also touched on the progress of ongoing urban and development projects in the governorate’s wilayats.
The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Hilal bin Said Al Hajri, Governor of A’Dakhiliyah and Chairman of the Municipal Council.
The council hosted representatives from Averda Waste Management Company, who presented the company’s plans for waste collection, transportation, and treatment. The discussion addressed shared challenges and solutions aligned with the governorate’s urban expansion.
The council also reviewed updates on the Nizwa Façade Project, implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. The project aims to enhance the urban identity of the wilayat and stimulate its economic and tourism activities.
Additionally, the council considered proposals to allocate sites for the establishment of new residential neighborhoods in several wilayats to accommodate population growth and future urban needs.
