A’Dhahirah Municipal Council Reviews Weather Impact, Investment Plans

Ibri:  The Municipal Council of A’Dhahirah Governorate today held its third regular session of the third term for 2026, under the chairmanship of Tahir Mabkhout Al Junaibi, Governor of A’Dhahirah and Chairman of the Council.

The Council reviewed the minutes of the previous session and assessed the implementation of issued recommendations.

During the meeting, members discussed the effects of the recent “Al Masarrat” weather condition on the governorate. The Council highlighted the preparedness of relevant authorities and stressed the importance of coordination among entities to ensure swift response and continuity of services, with a focus on safeguarding citizens and residents and reducing potential impacts.

The Council also addressed a range of investment and service-related topics, including available investment opportunities across several areas.

Discussions further covered development requirements for the Dhank dual carriageway project, including service roads, lighting and beautification works.

In addition, the Council reviewed proposals to regulate heavy truck movement and to pave parking areas at public facilities in the Wilayat of Dhank.

The meeting also followed up on the implementation of recommendations issued by the governorate’s development, health and social affairs committees for 2026, in support of ongoing development efforts in A’Dhahirah Governorate.
