Al Khaboura: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism signed a contract for the management, operation and employment of Al Khaboura Fort, in the Wilayat of Al Khaboura, North Al Batinah Governorate, with Al Hosoun Al Shamkha Heritage Trading Company.
The signing of this agreement comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to employ cultural heritage, ensure its sustainability and increase its utilization by providing direct and indirect job opportunities, empowering the private sector, including small and medium enterprises and productive families, creating marketing outlets for craftsmen, enriching tourism through value-added projects for the local community, and reviving sites. Cultural heritage in accordance with the “Oman Vision 2040” and the strategic programs of the tenth development plan.
The Ministry aims to develop, rehabilitate and provide various tourist destinations and experiences in various governorates that contribute to diversifying the tourist product and historical monuments as tourist destinations and destinations, and to highlight the Omani civilization and the authenticity of the Omani cultural heritage and its authentic culture.
