Muscat (ONA): The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources signed today an agreement with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to furnish a flexible environment with sustainable agricultural and water resources in Oman.
The project will be funded by the UN Green Climate Fund (GCF)
The agreement was signed by Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and Nora Ourabah Haddad, FAO Representative in Oman.
The project will enable stakeholders in the agriculture and water resources sectors to implement schemes and policies in order to mitigate climate change within the national priorities and the GCF Country Programme.
