Agreement Signed to Train, Recruit 250 jobseekers in Oman Tourism Sector

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour today signed a cooperation programme with the Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group) as part of the ministry’s ongoing system of training and employment of national human resources.

The programme was signed by Sayyid Salim Musallam Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development, and Hashil Obaid Al Mahrouqi, CEO of Omran Group.

The programme seeks to engage different sectors to promote the localization of jobs in private sector establishments by training and enabling national human resources and jobseekers to acquire skills and experience needed in the tourism and hospitality sector, among other sectors.

The aim is also to establish free businesses in the tourism and guidance sector and provide an appropriate work environment to encourage national human resources to work towards the realization of their professional and practical aspirations.

The ministry and Omran Group stressed the significance of cooperation within the proposed projects and to set this programme in motion. -ONA
