Yanqul: Agricultural products exhibition opened today in the town of Al-Waqbah in the Wilayat of Yanqul, with the participation of a number of farmers and those interested in agricultural and animal wealth.
The exhibition was organized by the Department of Agricultural Wealth and Water Resources in Al-Waqbah and will last for two days. Engineer Ali bin Khamis Al-Farsi, Director of the Agricultural Wealth and Water Resources Department in the town of Al-Waqba, said that holding the exhibition coincides with the approaching harvest season of summer fruits in Al-Waqba, such as mangoes, grapes, figs, and other seasonal agricultural crops, in addition to the various types of wet crops.
He added that the exhibition aims to introduce agricultural production and the role of farmers and livestock breeders in developing the agricultural sector, which is the main pillar of food security. It is also a marketing outlet for these products with the aim of encouraging farmers and livestock breeders to increase production and supply the local market with local products of quality and competitive prices.
The exhibition includes among its pillars a group of seasonal agricultural products, dairy products, cheese and honey of all kinds, as well as the products of rural women.
