Duqm: A’Soud Global School in Duqm, since the start of its first academic year in 2021 in the city of Duqm, is the first international school in the Special Economic Zone of Duqm, and its education system is based on the innovative “Cambridge” international curriculum for students of different nationalities residing in Duqm.

Amund Grafted, director of A’Soud Global School in Duqm, said: The school attracts students from various countries to study from the preschool stage to the tenth grade, with a three-semester system each academic year, as it currently includes 231 students, both male and female, from 22 countries.

She pointed out that A’Soud Global School in Duqm takes the lead in formulating the foundations and setting standards for the private educational sector in the region, and provides high-quality educational services supported by international curricula.

Lamia Othman, a teacher at A’Soud Global School, explained that the school includes 33 cadres of teachers and assistants to provide an appropriate educational environment with the availability of various tools and educational materials necessary to develop the thinking abilities, intelligence, and creativity of students, noting that many subjects are taught, such as the Arabic language, Islamic education, and language. English, mathematics, sports, music, arts and other cultural, scientific and sporting programs and activities.

Alia (a Filipino student at A’Soud Global School) said: The school organizes many educational, cultural and recreational activities, expressing her admiration for the atmosphere in Duqm, especially the beaches overlooking the Arabian Sea.

Alicia (a French student at the school) also expressed her admiration for the atmosphere in Duqm and the many recreational activities, saying: “I have been here in Duqm for two years and I am very enjoying it. Studying here is fun and there are many fields that we study, such as mathematics, the English language, and many skills.”

While student Asif (from the United Kingdom studying at A’Soud Global School), explained that there are many skills that he receives in school and various topics with enriching content for students.

Student Malissa (from the Kingdom of Belgium) emphasized that studying at A’Soud Global School allows her to learn many subjects that will benefit her in building her future, describing life in Duqm as “beautiful.”

Dinal (from Kenya, studying at A’Soud Global) said that the studies and curricula are good and contribute to enriching the future knowledge of the students, noting that the school administration organizes many external events that introduce students to Duqm and its most important tourist, cultural and recreational attractions.
