    Oman’s Ahmed Al Kaabi Elected to International Sports Press Executive Body

    Lausanne:  The Executive Committee of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) has selected Ahmed Saif Al Kaabi as the first Omani member of its Executive Committee.

    The selection was made during the AIPS General Assembly elections held today in Lausanne, Switzerland, with the participation of representatives from 120 countries.

    Gianni Merlo, President of AIPS, commended the Sultanate of Oman’s capabilities in hosting international conferences, recalling his participation in the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) Congress held in Muscat in 2022. He noted that the event reflected a high level of organization and professionalism by the Oman Journalists Association.

    The elections included the selection of the President, Vice Presidents, members of the Executive Committee, and the Secretary-General, with a total of 20 positions filled.
