Muscat: The Al-Aflaj Road project in the Wilayat of Al-Mudhaibi in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate has reached 39% completion, from the intersection of Al-Mudhaibi-Sinaw Road to Al-Aflaj Village, with a length of 22 km.
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology explained that the project includes the construction of a new single road consisting of two lanes with a width of (3.5 meters) for each lane, with asphalt shoulders with a width of (1.5 meters) on each side, in addition to the construction of an intersection at the beginning of the road to serve the traffic movement in the adjacent areas.
Upon completion, the road will contribute to ensuring traffic safety on the road and the smooth flow of traffic, in addition to activating commercial, tourism and economic aspects with the rest of the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
