    Barkaa Hosts Conclusion of Al Ardha Camel Racing Activities

    Barkaa: Activities of the five-day Al Ardha Camel Racing event concluded today at Al Fuleij Square in the Wilayat of Barkaa.

    Organized by the Oman Camel Racing Federation, the event formed part of the annual programme of local camel races for the 2025–2026 sports season. It attracted wide participation from camel owners representing various wilayats of the Sultanate of Oman.

    The closing ceremony was held under the auspices of Basil Ahmed Al Rawas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.

    Al Ardha Camel Racing is considered one of the most prominent heritage events reflecting the cultural and social dimensions of Omani society. It combines traditional camel riding skills with folkloric performances, serving as a symbol of national identity and receiving strong support and attention from the relevant authorities.
