Al Batinah South Educational Center organizes the Globe Environmental Forum

Rustaq: The General Directorate of Education in the South Al Batinah Governorate organized the “Globe” Environmental Forum (Climate and Carbon) with the participation of a number of government institutions and in cooperation with the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, and the Environment Department in the governorate.

The forum included the presentation of a number of projects participating in the local qualifiers for the “GLOBE” program, which aims to collect scientific data in the local environment that focuses on the atmosphere, water, soil, and land cover, in addition to publishing the results of scientific research, and creating maps and drawings on the “GLOBE” website, which contributes to the exchange of Data and collaboration between teachers, students and scientists around the world.

Regarding the program, Dhikra Bint Muhammad Al-Harrasiyah, supervisor of the “Globe” program in the governorate’s education, explained the importance of involving students in aspects related to environmental protocols, noting that the students participated in valuable research through the GLOBE Environmental Program research competition at the governorate school level.
