Al Buraimi discusses development projects in the province

Al Buraimi: The Municipal Council of Al Buraimi Governorate discussed today the development projects, the transport sector, and the enhancement of municipal services in the governorate’s wilayats.

During its sixth meeting of this year, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi, and Chairman of the Council, the Council reviewed the most important developments related to development projects in the governorate. And an electronic platform for investment in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 and the digital transformation of the governorate.

Specialists in the Department of Transport at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology gave a visual presentation on four main axes, which included public transport, taxis, goods transport, and smart applications, in addition to maximizing the benefit from roads and increasing the revenue from the land transport sector.

The Council also discussed the proposal of afforestation of new social housing in the Wilayat of Al-Sunaina, and initiatives to enhance the strategic plan for land transport, in addition to reviewing the minutes and reports of the committees and the responses received to it.
