Over 200 Specialists Join Women and Children’s Health Event in Al Buraimi

Al Buraimi:  Activities of Al Buraimi Week for Women’s and Children’s Health began today in Al Buraimi Governorate.

The event is organised by the Directorate General of Health Services in Al Buraimi under the theme “Together We Grow Healthier”, and includes a range of activities focusing on women’s and children’s health.

The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Sayyid Dr. Hamad bin Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi.

A seminar held as part of the event saw the participation of more than 200 medical and allied health professionals from various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. Specialists from several hospitals delivered presentations on key health topics.

The seminar focused on raising awareness among women and mothers about disease prevention and early detection, as well as promoting maternal and child mental health and the role of family and community support.

The programme also highlights child health from pregnancy through early childhood and aims to strengthen cooperation between health institutions and relevant entities.

The week’s activities include a symposium, a health event and a conference dedicated to women’s health, targeting different segments of society, particularly women, children and healthcare professionals.
