Al Buraimi winter activities kicks off

Al-Buraimi: Al Buraimi winter activities kicks off today in the Wilayat of Buraimi, organized by the Buraimi Governor’s Office in cooperation with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) branch in Al-Buraimi Governorate, and will continue until 2 February 2024 in Al Buraimi Public Park.

Salem bin Namshan Al Kaabi, Director of the Events and Awareness Department at the Buraimi Governor’s Office, said that the event will contain a group of recreational and cultural activities and events, daily performances, theater activities, the heritage village, and a number of corners for small and medium enterprises, restaurants, productive families, and other events, competitions, and accompanying activities.

He added that the Buraimi Winter event, which is hosted by Al Buraimi Public Park in the Wilayat of Buraimi for 10 days, is part of a group of activities that the Buraimi Governor’s Office intends to implement during the year 2024 to include the three states of the governorate.

He stressed that the aim of organizing these events is to promote the governorate, strengthen the economic and tourism sectors, support small and medium enterprises and productive families, in addition to providing an outlet for citizens, residents and visitors to the governorate, by holding various recreational activities and events, and attracting tourists from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.

He explained that the Buraimi winter event, which will receive visitors from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., will include many events, recreational activities, and various competitions, including women and children’s village activities, the heritage village, folk arts and heritage village activities, the restaurant and productive families village, lighting shows, and theatrical performances. There are daily activities on the stage prepared for this, cultural events, poetry evenings and other daily performances, events and competitions that continue throughout the duration of the Buraimi winter event.
