Al Dhahirah Governorate seeks to enhance investments in various sectors

Ibri: Al-Dhahirah Governorate seeks to enhance the investment aspect in several fields, including oil and gas, through the establishment of Al-Dhahirah International Development and Investment Company in 2021 as a closed Omani joint stock company that includes approximately 2,400 shareholders from the people of the three wilayat affiliated with the governorate.

The company plans to invest sustainably in various economic sectors, focusing on the oil, gas, minerals, industry, tourism and agriculture sectors. Abdul Rahman bin Humaid Al Yahyai, ​​Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhahirah International Development and Investment Company, said that the company, whose capital exceeds RO 2.7 million, is working to enhance and raise the economic level of Al Dhahirah Governorate and contribute to providing job opportunities for the people of the governorate in cooperation and partnership with the Office of the Governor of Al Dhahirah.

He added in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the company signed a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding with various government and private agencies to enhance economic growth in Al Dhahirah Governorate and employ new and promising investment opportunities, including a memorandum of understanding with the General Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones to establish, develop and operate a dedicated integrated station for truck services near the land port within the Integrated Economic Zone project in Al Dhahirah Governorate, and another cooperation agreement with the Oman Broadband Company to invest in developing modern infrastructure in the governorate.

He pointed out that concluding these strategic partnerships in various sectors comes to continue the company’s efforts and its ambitious vision to become at the forefront of companies that provide promising development opportunities in Al Dhahirah Governorate and exploit its various components and wealth.
