Al Khaboura holds mass wedding in Wadi Al Hawasna

Muscat: The Wilayat of Al Khaboura celebrated the twelfth mass wedding in Wadi Al Hawasna, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser Al Zaabi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence, with the participation of 15 grooms from the state in the celebrations square in the town of Sadan, and in the presence of sheikhs and notables of the state and a large crowd of citizens.

The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran, then the grooms entered to the melodies of the art of Al Azi, one of the most prominent Omani arts, in an artistic and aesthetic painting that won the admiration and approval of everyone. After that, Sheikh Sultan bin Humaid Al Hosani, a member of the Shura Council, gave a speech to the organizing committee, in which he stressed that collective wedding initiatives embody the spirit of joint cooperation between members of the same society reduces the burden and costs on young people and increases their chances of marriage. It also eliminates the phenomenon of spinsterhood in society and establishes in them the values ​​of social solidarity.

His Excellency added that this initiative, in its twelfth edition at the state level, has witnessed great development, in terms of the process of organizing and preparing for it and through working to prepare the new site for the field allocated by the concerned authorities.

The ceremony witnessed the presentation of a poem by the poet Osama bin Abdullah Al-Muqbali and a visual presentation about the state of Al-Khaboura and community initiatives in the state.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Excellency Dr. the sponsor of the occasion distributed gifts to the grooms and took a souvenir photo with the grooms. His Excellency also received a souvenir from the organizing committee for sponsoring the group wedding in its twelfth edition.
