Muscat: In a forward-thinking step towards furthering a healthy work-life balance, Al Madina Takaful, Oman’s leading Takaful insurance provider, has announced the implementation of an experimental initiative starting from June 1, 2023. This initiative aims to support its women employees who are facing the challenges of balancing work obligations with their personal responsibilities, particularly when it comes to their families and children.
As part of the new trial-based adjustment to working hours, specific categories of women employees will be eligible for flexible working arrangements. The initiative specifically targets women who are currently breastfeeding, pregnant women in their last months of pregnancy, and mothers with children under the age of six.
Speaking about the new initiative, Usama Al Barwani, CEO of Al Madina Takaful said, “As we strive to achieve a harmonious balance between work obligations and personal responsibilities, while also supporting our employees’ families and children, we will be implementing a trial-based adjustment to working hours.”
This move demonstrates the company’s commitment to nurturing a positive and inclusive work environment that considers the unique needs of its women workforce.
By providing flexibility to working mothers, Al Madina Takaful aims to enhance the well-being, positivity, and productivity of its women employees. The company acknowledges the importance of supporting women during critical phases of motherhood and acknowledges that an enabling work environment contributes to the overall success and satisfaction of its employees.
This innovative initiative aligns with international best practices and showcases Al Madina Takaful’s dedication to being at the forefront of employee well-being. By offering flexible working hours, the company provides practical support to working mothers in the workplace.
