    • Al Nahda crowned Omantel League title

    Al Buraimi: Al Nahd was crowned with the Omantel League title for the 2022-23 season in the last round against Sur Club, which ended in a goalless draw.

    The closing and coronation ceremony was held at Al Buraimi Sports Complex under the patronage of Talal bin Saeed Al Maamari, CEO of Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel).

    Al-Nahda had won the title in the last round, and Al-Suwaiq finished second in the league after its victory in the last round over Sohar Club by a clean quadruple, reaching 52 points, 4 behind the champion.

    In the rest of the day’s confrontations, Al-Musanna defeated Al-Bashaer 1/0, Al-Seeb defeated Al-Rustaq with the same result, Bahla defeated Al-Nasr 1/2, Dhofar defeated Al-Ittihad 1/4, while Oman Club tied with Al-Oruba 3/3. Al-Bashaer, Al-Orouba and Al-Ittihad clubs were relegated to the First Division for the next season, while Ibri, Al-Shabab and Al-Wehda clubs took their place.
