Muscat: Al-Rahma Association for Maternity and Child Care launched the “Your Rial One Million” campaign, which is a charitable community challenge that aims to collect donations of up to one million riyals by donating only one rial – as a minimum to stimulate the participation of all segments of society – so that all institutions and groups of society participate in the challenge and residents, with a live broadcast of the number of donors and the amounts that were counted through live and direct digital update through screens, means of communication, and various media and digital platforms linked to the donation platform for the same campaign. The campaign will also be accompanied by various accompanying activities and programs.
Donations from the “One Million Rial” campaign will be allocated to the Al-Rahma Charitable Center project, which is scheduled to be established in the Al Khoud area – a project under construction – which is the largest sustainable project in the charitable giving process of the association. Where the center will include a number of shops, the proceeds of which will be allocated to provide a stable and sustainable income to finance the various programs and assistance of the association that serve the activities and services of the association – for example, but not limited to – sponsoring needy families, supporting productive families, providing supplies and foodstuffs to families affected by climatic conditions, in addition to restoring Equipping homes, providing aid to people with special needs, and educational aid, in addition to other periodic aid provided by the association in the month of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, and the beginning of the school year.
Al-Rahma Charitable Center will also include incubators and shops to display the products of productive families and support them commercially, thus enabling them to improve their living conditions and achieve financial self-reliance, in addition to administrative offices as the permanent headquarters of the association.
The campaign aims to raise public awareness and promote a culture of social solidarity in society, so that this is not limited to emergency situations only. The campaign also aims to develop the charitable work system in the Sultanate by focusing on initiatives that provide sustainable solutions and stable income that contribute to achieving positive results on the ground and improving the social situation, in addition to transforming needy families into productive and financially self-reliant families.
The association called on all institutions and members of society to contribute positively to and support this campaign, whether through direct donations, in addition to contributing to increasing community interaction and reaching a broader base of participants.
