Al Seeb Club Crowned First Division Volleyball League Champions for 2025/2026 Season

Muscat:  Al Seeb Club was crowned champion of the First Division Volleyball League for the 2025/2026 sports season after defeating Al Bashair Club in straight sets (25–19, 26–24, 25–22) in the final match held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex Hall in Bausher.

In the match determining third and fourth places, Majees Club secured third position after overcoming Sohar Club in three straight sets (25–13, 25–19, 27–25).

The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of His Excellency Engineer Hamad bin Ali Al Nizwani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for Housing, in the presence of His Highness Sayyid Malik bin Shihab Al Said, His Excellency Basil bin Ahmed bin Amer Al Rawas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth, and Engineer Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al Muqbali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Volleyball Association, along with a number of presidents and secretaries of sports federations and clubs, and members of the Association’s Board of Directors.

Following the conclusion of the matches, Al Seeb Club players were awarded gold medals, with the team captain receiving the league shield. Al Bashair Club was awarded silver medals, while Majees Club received bronze medals. Individual skill awards were also presented to outstanding players in various playing positions.

It is worth noting that the First Division Volleyball League for the current season commenced on 2 October, with the participation of nine clubs divided into two groups. The first group included Majees, Sohar, Saham, Masirah and Al Shabab clubs, while the second group comprised Al Seeb, Salalah, Taqah and Al Bashair clubs.

The preliminary rounds were played in a double round-robin format within each group, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the final rounds, which were contested in a single round-robin format. This was followed by the semi-finals, with the winners advancing to the final match and the remaining teams competing for third place.
