Al-Sunainah Festival kicks off in Al-Buraimi Governorate

Al-Sunainah: The Sunaynah Festival kicks of in Al Buraimi Governorate on Thursday.

The Al-Sunainah Festival, which was hosted by the public park in the Wilayat of Al-Sunainah, was launched on Thursday, under the auspices of His Excellency Sheikh Mahmoud bin Sulaiman Al-Maamari, the Wali of Al-Sunainah. The festial is a continuation of the Al-Buraimi Winter activities launched by the Al-Buraimi Governor’s office on November 18, 2022, in the various wilayats of the governorate.

The three-day festival included a group of various events and activities of a tourism and economic nature. The aim of the festival is to promote productive families and small projects in the governorate by creating temporary marketing outlets at the event site, in addition to entertainment events and programs that attract visitors.

The organizers of the festival were keen to diversify the activities to suit different age groups, most notably: competitions for children and adults, fire and lighting shows, Al-Samar Folklore Band (marine arts) and face painting, and the enthusiastic Bin Wedad Band, in addition to activities for children such as various cartoon characters.

Humaid bin Ali Al-Manai, a member of the organizing committee of the festival, said: “The organization of the festival in the wilayat of Al-Sunainah came to shed light on this ancient heritage of the wilayat. The visitors to the festival will contribute to uplift the small businesses, boost the prominence of the wilayat of Sunainah through social media and also supporting productive families by finding equipped sales outlets.
