    • Alert for heavy rain, thunder in parts of Oman for today

    Oman meteorology has issued an alert regarding the Thunder Rain for today from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm 

    The affected areas; The mountainous areas of South Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliya, Al Dhahira, Al Buraimi and North Al Sharqiyah, Dhofar Governorate, 

    Weather Forecast; rainfalls ranging between (10-35)mm Downdraft wind (20-35)knots Poor horizontal visibility due to dust rising during thundershower Flash floods (Wadis) 

    To ensure safety 

    Immediately move away from low places and wadis, and do not attempt to swim in wadis

    Do not risk crossing wadis in order to protect yourself and those with you in the vehicle

    Keep as eye on children and never allow them to approach wadis. 

    Oman Meteorology also said: The areas marked by the yellow circles are most likely to be affected by the downward winds, which are expected to reach a speed of more than 70 km/h and may lead to a decrease in horizontal visibility, the rise of dust and the flying of unstable materials.
