‘Amad Duqm 22’ Kicks off today

Duqm: ‘Amad Duqm 22’ event kicks off today Friday at the Special Economic Zone in Duqm, the event included more than 30 youth activities in various fields such as culture, sports, innovation, technology, sustainability and entertainment. It is organized in partnership between the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, which will run through for 9 days.

The event includes several activities, including a meditation session, an electric bike circuit (scooter), paddle games, an obstacle course game, drones, a remote control car racing circuit, art labs, video and table games, a theatrical show “Lamada”, as well as an astronomy camp.

“Amad Duqm 22” enhances the presence of the Special Economic Zone at Duqm as a modern, thriving city that embraces art and innovation, to be the city of the future that attracts youth and their projects. Because of its independent administrative capabilities and a diversified investment environment in various fields such as energy, industry and logistics, in addition to tourism projects.

Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Akaak, Acting CEO of the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, said: “Amad Duqm 22” is an event and activity launched by young people and for young people. He added that the Special Economic Zone at Duqm has ready and enabling conditions for such qualitative youth activities and projects.

Akaak noted that this gathering in Duqm Economic Zone gives young people an opportunity to show their talents and abilities, as it is a fertile environment for transferring and exchanging knowledge and experiences, stressing that Duqm is a promising city and its lifestyle is ready to attract the activities of Omani youth and their projects that use modern technology such as artificial intelligence projects, robotics and renewable energy, and we invite them to benefit Among the incentives, privileges and spaces allocated for projects and activities in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm
