Annual conference of GPA GCC Chapter Kicks off at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre

Muscat, 23 May (ONA) — Hosted by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), the 29th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the Gas Processors Association GCC Chapter (GPA GCC Chapter) kicked off today at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC).

This edition of the GPA GCC Chapter is themed “Expanding Possibilities towards Excellence in the Gas Value Chain”. It is participated by executives, engineers, and experts in the gas sector at regional and global levels.

The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Abdullah Ali Al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority (EA).

The event brings together the participants to exchange experiences, knowledge, and best practices related to developing the gas industry’s value.

Moutaz Amer Al Riyami, Gas Director at PDO said, “This year’s conference themes and technical papers have been carefully curated to address emerging challenges and opportunities within the gas value chain. Our aim is to enable the highest possible value while supporting our journey towards becoming more carbon and cost-competitive in a sustainable manner”.

Moreover, the Chairman of the Gas Processors Association – GCC Chapter Hamad Al Zuwayer said that the event aims to exchange expertise and experiences between GCC countries in the gas field, as well as to introduce developments in gas industry.

The event includes several working papers, presentations and discussion panels.

On the sidelines of the event an exhibition was held with the participation of 21 local and international establishments operating in the gas sector. – ONA
